Managed Strategies

Sitting at the core of the Pension Portfolio are our pioneering Managed Strategies.

These asset allocation portfolios have been designed to ensure that your clients invest in the selection of funds most suitable for their risk profiles. These are regularly reviewed by an Investment Advisory Committee to check that these portfolios continue to meet their stated objectives.

The Pension Portfolio offers your clients access to our ground-breaking Managed Strategies - delivering even more choice.

  • Range of nine strategies covers cautious, balanced and adventurous risk levels over short, medium and long time horizons, helping identify suitable asset allocations for your clients based on their risk profile and investment time frame.
  • The asset mix of three of our internal funds - Defensive Managed, Managed and Adventurous Managed - effectively matches the bottom left, the middle and the top right Managed Strategies in the diagram. The remaining six strategies can be constructed using the other funds as building blocks and investing in them in the correct proportions.
  • Managed Strategies Fund Matrix splits our external equity funds into nine distinct sectors, then further divides them into three risk levels (as measured by tracking error).
  • Automatic re-balancing every month ensures your client's original asset allocation is maintained.
  • Significantly reduced administrative burden, as you don't have to constantly research and monitor investments to ensure they remain appropriate for your clients.

Complementing the Managed Strategies are a carefully chosen range of over 60 funds with clearly defined objectives, helping to provide a compelling investment proposition, even if no Self Investments are considered.

Our internal funds are managed by Royal London Asset Management. These include equity, property, fixed interest, index linked, deposit and managed funds. Supplementing this comprehensive selection of funds are a number of additional funds managed by some of the world's best known investment companies.
