Pension Portfolio
The plan that keeps pace
with your changing needs.
We think it's the ideal way for you to save for your retirement. The beauty of the Pension Portfolio is that it can evolve with you as your circumstances change. And because the different options are all part of the same plan, you won't need to set up a new pension if your needs change.
Clear charging structure
At Scottish Life, we want you to be clear about what you're paying for, so we've kept the Pension Portfolio charges as straightforward as possible. Each level of investment flexibility has its own charges - you pay only for the services you use.
What makes Pension Portfolio so special?
- Payment options
How you decide to make the payments is up to you; the important thing is that you save for your retirement. To make this as easy as possible, we accept regular payments, single payments and transfer payments from any existing pension plans. - Core Investments
A selection of professionally managed investment funds run by a number of leading investment managers. These funds invest in a wide range of different assets, from company shares (equities) to cash and property. - Self Investments
This additional investment flexibility lets you invest in a fund supermarket and directly in a range of alternative investments, such as company shares and UK commercial property. - Additional protection options
You can protect your pension payments in case you become ill. You can also protect your family or dependants in case you die before you start receiving an income from your pension. - Accessing your money
Once you're 50 (55 from 6 April 2010), you can take a tax-free lump sum and an income directly from your plan: this facility is called Income Release.
