Investment for Consumers Investing for a secure future
We keep saying it - pensions are what we’re about. This has a very significant impact on our investment philosophy, in fact, it moulds that philosophy. Our aim is to provide a good standard of living for our policyholders when they retire. Our investment strategy is geared to supporting that. That’s it in a nutshell. To find out more about our investment proposition, our funds and our fund manager partners please browse this section at your leisure.
A good, old, sensible, reliable yardstick
At Scottish Life we've done away with using arbitrary descriptions or measurements of risk to communicate our investment choices. That's the key to our Managed Strategies and Matrix propositions. The concept is simple: an investment fund or strategy should be appropriate to the needs of the people who invest in them. Accordingly, our strategies have clear objectives over set periods of time (short, medium and long) and are guided by properly measured risk profiles. Alongside this, our Matrix offering has been designed around properly measured risk profiles, so you know exactly how much risk is being taken. A transparent management process
Transparency is essential - these days more so than ever. In line with this, we have set up an Investment Advisory Committee (IAC) to monitor, on a quarterly basis, performance of our funds and the risks that the investment manager should be allowed to take.
