Question time for DC schemes

In addition to its new series of good practice guidance for trustees of DC schemes, the Regulator has published a Q & A aimed largely at trustees and employers of DC schemes although it’ll be useful to other parties involved in running these schemes.

What’s covered?

The Q&A pulls together key issues from the Regulator’s previously issued DC guidance and covers;

- regulation
- governance
- administration
- investment
- charges
- retirement
- member understanding

What’s the purpose of this guidance?

The guidance doesn’t however include any new requirements over and above those that already exist. It’ll serve as a refresher for you on DC issues and should also act as a good source of reference material for specific circumstances you and the employer may encounter.

What now?

There are links aplenty, 47 (although there are duplicates) to be exact, to some useful information and research documents so it’s worth taking the time to have a look them.

The information provided is based on our current understanding of the relevant legislation and regulations and may be subject to alteration as a result of changes in legislation or practice.
