More Pension Gems found on the Web

Well, we’re having a good week or so for finding things on the Wibbly Wobbly Web that I hope will interest you.  As you know we’ve had the redoubtable Ms Bruun surfing around the obscure nooks and crannies of the internet to seek out those little nuggets of pension information that you might find useful in your day-to-day lives in the real life world of pensions.  Obviously, these things are available to anyone who has the time to look for them, but we figure we can save you some of that time by keeping an eye out for you while we’re trolling around.  To kick off with we’ve managed to find some useful phone numbers for you if you ever need clarification on any of the new pension rules straight from the horse’s mouth, so to speak.  These are all contact numbers from the HMRC website:

Also, we came across another few pages of FAQs on the HMRC website too that you may find useful to look through if you get a minute.  The questions (and answers) cover a wide range of pension issues from Carry-Back under the new tax regime through to AVCs and Tax-Free Cash, and there are some useful bits and pieces about international pension ramifications of the new rules too.  Rather than tell you where to find this page on the HMRC site we’ve copied and pasted a link here that will take you directly to it:

We’ll keep looking out for any more pages like this as I know many of you find them useful.  It’ll give you something to read in between the football matches if nothing else.
